The hit and run driver who recently killed a famous jeweler in Queens has been identified and is facing murder charges

In a previous blog we described how a driver in an act of road rage ran over a pedestrian in Queens and killed him. The driver has been identified as 46 year old Charles Jordan of Valley Stream, NY, a MTA train operator. Jordan is facing murder and leaving the scene of an accident charges after the July 19th road rage incident that led to the death of jeweler to the stars Aron Aranbayev (picture here with Khloe Kardashian). The police also indicated that Jordan may have been involved in another road rage incident involving a gun. Read more in the NY Daily News

New York pedestrian dies in hospital after being viciously struck by an angry hit and run driver in a brutal act of “road rage”

A pedestrian died in the hospital after being struck by a hit and run driver with whom he just had an argument in Queens, NYC. 40 year old Aron Aranbayev, a well known jeweler, was getting dropped off on 71st Ave near 110th street in Forest Hills Sunday night around 11:00 pm when the driver who was stopped just behind him apparently got angry because he had to wait for him to clear the street and got out of his car to yell at Aranbayev. The driver got back in the car, backed up and then in an act of rage intentionally ran down the pedestrian and fled the scene. Aranbanyev suffered serious head trauma and died one day later in the hospital. Read more in The New York Daily News.

A minister who pleaded guilty for leaving the scene of a NYC fatal car crash was sentenced to up to 4 1/2 years in jail

One Bryan-Loughan year ago Bryan Loughran (picture) was killed by a hit and run driver in Brooklyn , NYC (see previous blog). The driver who left him dying on the road was later on identified as Michael Casale, a 54 year old Minister from Brooklyn. After he fled from the scene of the accident, the minister abandoned his vehicle and tried to conceal his responsibility by reporting it stolen. Police arrested Casale at his home. Hours after questioning and blaming “his friend” for leaving the scene, Casale broke down into tears and confessed, the judge said. He was sentenced to up to 4 1/2 years in prison two days ago. A hit and run Bronx driver critically injured Robert Ray, the subway motorman who drunkenly nodded off and crashed a No. 4 train in Union Square in 1991, killing five passengers

61 year old Robert Ray who served 10 years in prison after admitting he was drunk when he crashed a train in Union Square in 1991 was hit by a car and suffered critical personal injury as he was crossing The Grand Concourse from east to west at E.182 St in the Bronx last Thursday night. The driver sped off and disappeared in the night. Police who don’t have a description of the car haven’t made an arrest. Read more in the NY Daily News

A pedestrian died after being struck by a hit and run driver in Queens, NYC, on Sunday night, that’s the second hit an run in Queens in one day

A woman in her 2o’s was crossing the street at the intersection of 76th Street and Woodisde in Queens, New York City, on Sunday night when she was struck and killed by the driver of a box truck. The driver of the truck hit the victim as he was turning onto Woodside Avenue but he didn’t stop. He drove away leaving the woman to die in the street. A witness at the scene followed the box truck for a few blocks, stopped the driver and managed to hold him until the police arrived. The police arrested the driver, 27 year old Valentine Gonzalez and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and driving without a license. Earlier in the day in Queens another woman was struck by a hit and run driver (see previous post)
