While the study didn’t find any case of asymptomatic correctional workers, among those who got tested because they had symptoms, 12 % were positive. That was the highest rate of positivity among symptomatic workers among all industries.
Workers in food services came 3rd with a positivity rate of 3.8% for those tested who were asymptomatic and 7.8% for those who had symptoms.
7.4% of grocery workers with symptoms tested positive while 3.1% of those who were asymptomatic tested positive.
Healthcare workers with symptoms had a lower positivity rate than grocery workers with 6.4% but more of them were asymptomatic with 3.4%
Among first aid workers who tested positive 2.6% were asymptomatic and 7.4% of them got a test because they had symptoms.
2.5% of workers in retail or manufacturing tested positive but had no symptoms. Among the same industry 5.7% of those who were symptomatic tested positive.
Workers in delivery, transportation and ride-share had an infection rate somewhat similar to the retail and manufacturing workers with 2.3% of those who were asymptomatic and 5.4% of those with symptoms testing positive.
Workers taking care of the elderly were also around this level with 2.9% of asymptomatic testing positive and 5.5% of symptomatic testing positive.
Workers in education had the lowest rate among the industries mentioned above with 1.6% of asymptomatic and 4.8% of symptomatic testing positive.
