With a total of 13 lawyers listed for the 2021 edition, Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf have more personal injury attorneys selected by Best Lawyers in America than any other NYC personal injury law firm. Our results speak for themselves as our attorneys continuously obtain top verdicts and settlements for their clients. Last week, the New York State Supreme Court upheld a jury verdict of almost $60 million obtained by two of our partners a year earlier for a young man who suffered catastrophic burn injuries during a botched chemistry demonstration. The victim, Alomso Yanes, was burned alive after a negligent teacher poured methanol straight from a gallon jug onto a hot evaporation dish, creating a gigantic fire ball that engulfed him. Alonso who was 16 year old at the time of the accident, was awarded a record $29,585,000 for past pain and suffering and $29,585,000 for future pain and suffering in a four-week trial.
